About
I am Valibhai Musa; but my nick name, since my primary education, is “William” among my classmates at the time then and presently also the same limited to my friend circle. My native place is Kanodar, Banaskantha, Gujarat, India. Kanodar was once known as the Manchester of Banaskantha for its Textile Industry.
I am the son of totally illiterate parents and was the very first person in my family to go out for Secondary Education. I passed my Old S.S.C. in 1959 from the Govt. High School at Palanpur. I passed my B.A. (Hons.) in 1966 with Gujarati, English and Sociology. My father died when I was 16 years old and since then for half the century I have been leading my-our united families.
With the grace of the Almighty, my parallel as well next generation family members are highly educated and some settled abroad also. The educational progress of my village is also so high compared to other surrounding villages that our Four Century Old Handloom Cloth Weaving business is like a dream now a days.
I am a man of literature and in 1965 my first story ‘Jalsamadhi’ in Gujarati (Regional language) was published in a Magazine. After that many stories in various College and other Magazines were published. I have some poems and Hykoos (Japanese poetry) also written in Gujarati which are also unpublished. No any book of mine is published till today due to my busy life in my family business in various lines such as Automobile, Hotels, Stock Market, and Doctor House etc… I shall, occasionally, publish those old works as well as the new ones for my readers on my blog.
I am thankful of my son (not nephew) – Mr. Munish Musa settled in Canada for his guidance and constant care regarding this online publishing of my thoughts, my reading, and my life long experiences.
On 7th July, 2011, I shall complete my 70 years if the God wishes. With the blessings of Him, my health is quite satisfactory and through this internet media I am ambitious to serve the human kind with a motto – Live and Let Live – to be spread. I consider myself a very common man and many common experiences of my life may perhaps be useful to so many common people like me. Our life is our own institution where we are all and all -Principal, Professor and student. Once, Churchill had rightly quoted, ‘I learnt wisdom from the foolish people.’
